Coverquai is a Chrome extension designed to help users generate cover letters based on job descriptions. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Coverquai does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All operations are performed locally within your browser. What We Don’t Collect:

• Job descriptions
• Generated cover letters
• Resume content
• Usage statistics
• Local Storage Usage As evidenced in the code (reference: popup.js, lines 142-157), any temporary data (such as form fields) is:
• Stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage API
• Only used to improve your user experience during the active session
• Automatically cleared when you clear your browser data
• Never transmitted to external servers

  Resume Processing

  When you upload a resume:

• It is processed locally within your browser
• No copies are stored on any external servers
• The content is only used temporarily for cover letter generation
• All data is cleared when you close the extension

  Third-Party Services

  The only external connection made is to the AI service for cover letter generation. During this process:

• No personal information is transmitted
• Job descriptions are processed anonymously
• No data is retained after generation

  Since we don’t collect or store any user data, there is no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your personal information.
